Tent and Equipment Setup/Teardown Team

Pizza Pizza’s Special Events Marketing Facility is now hiring a full time Setup/Teardown team members to work at our South Etobicoke Facility. 

Our core of Special Events Marketing Facility team members forms the backbone of Special Events operation as they are the ones primarily responsible for the installation and removal of tents/equipment from events across the GTA and Ontario.  

Responsibilities include:

• Drive a company truck in the delivery/installation and dismantle/pickup of company-owned equipment

• Liaise with show Organizers/Building contact person presenting professional, courteous company image and setting up equipment/mobile kitchen according to floor plans

• Liaise with Operations Manager and other crew members, as needed, on job-specific information for particular project setups/teardowns

• Assist Operations Manager with planning and managing operations functional areas (warehousing, trucking, equipment maintenance, tent washing, etc.) to ensure safe, efficient maintenance, storage and movement of all equipment

• Work in the warehouse on completing inventory, cleaning, repairing, and efficiently storing equipment – coordinating with the Operations Manager, Warehousing as needed to ensure proper inventory record-keeping

• Promote and maintain positive workplace safety awareness and practices by working in compliance with the provisions of The Occupational Health and Safety Act and its Regulations, as well as all internal health and safety policies and procedures

• Identify and, where appropriate, correct workplace hazards noted and brought to your attention by crew leaders or Operations Manager

• Effectively communicate any safety-related issues immediately to crew leaders, workers, and company management

• Liaise with the Joint Health and Safety committee to ensure compliance with all aspects of the company’s training policy including orientation training requirements, and on-the-job training documentation

Qualifications Needed Successful applicants must possess the following qualifications: 

 • A full G drivers licence in good standing, along with 1 year experience operating pickup truck towing trailers

 • Significant flexibility in working hours during the summer months to accommodate varied work schedule

 • Physical fitness for duty when working in the field on tents or pushing equipment in buildings or in warehouse in various capacities
